JANUARY DAYS

 These days I'm ...

:: Tying my handmade bonnets on all my nieces
:: Trying to find beauty in the bitter cold (and giving the bunny a few moments reprieve from it)
:: Enjoying that I finally finished a sea-side oil painting for my brother and his wife
:: Getting around to finishing some of the embroidery I found at this garage sale
:: Embroidering a warm, cozy project of my own
:: Delighted that Still Toddler loves the monkey I hand-sewed him and Still Sister loves her Christmas doll
:: Snapping a shot of my new sweet little nephew on his blessing day
:: Anticipating our own baby
:: In awe (always) of the beauty of my children's learning

That was a lovely few minutes I spent looking at your world through your camera lens. I'll be searching for that same peacefulness as I move through my day as well.

I just found your blog last week. It has sent me on a quest to find that peace and stillness at least once during my day:)
Today, after dropping my daughter at piano lessons to have to drive 30 minutes back to my house for the piano books my son forgot and then 30 minutes back to piano. Then my "quick trip" to Sam's for the supplies for Auxiliary Training this weekend was hijacked by cranky kids. On the way home our 20 minute drive became 2 hours due to rain and traffic. After surprise visitors that stayed for dinner I have tried to escape to my room for 5 minutes so I could be calmed by your words and pictures. My escape was not alone - my 8 year old needs to show me a creation he is so proud of. But here we are.

Tam,

Oh my! What a day. That would undo anybody. I'm glad you found a bit of peace here. And I'm so happy you shared it with me. It makes me feel better as well while my toddler is screaming on my lap as I write this, LOL. Today will be better. Hugs!

Ridiculously cute is right. When do I get to see her Christmas doll? Slacker.
